We were supposed to start the championship at Szolnok on Saturday, August 29th, however since then many games have been postponed due to coronavirus infections in many clubs throughout the league.
Firstly, our game scheduled for Saturday, August 29th at Szolnok was postponed due to a positive test within their team.
Our next match was at Eger on Wednesday, September 2nd. The game did take place; however, it ended in a 9-4 Loss.
Eger-Kaposvar 9:4 (2:0, 4:2, 2:2, 1:0)
Eger: B. Lorincz 3, Radli 2, B. Baksa 2, Gab. Kovacs 1, Murisic 1. Kaposvar: J. Berta 1, D. Dobos 1, Juhasz-Szelei 1, Mijic 1.
We were then scheduled to play OSC on Saturday, September 5th, but that game was also postponed due to positive coronavirus cases within their team.
On Monday, September 7th we were notified that a player on our team had tested positive for coronavirus. We went into quarantine and would not be released until we tested negative twice. This meant that the game against FTC scheduled for Friday, September 11th had to be postponed. After the first round of tests three more members within our team tested positive, and a few players exhibited mild symptoms. These players will remain in quarantine until they recover from the virus. The rest of the team took a second test and all our results came back negative. All of us that had two negative tests were released from quarantine during the weekend and we have been able to resume training. We hope for a strong recovery for the rest of our teammates and can't wait to be back in the pool together as one team.
Our game against Szeged scheduled for Saturday, September 19th will also be postponed.
